Make a Boomerang Video Online

Forward, then backward — an Instagram-style boomerang loop.

or

Turn a short clip into a boomerang: it plays forward, then backwards, ready to loop forever. The Ease slider softens the turnarounds — at 0 the motion ping-pongs hard, higher values slow gracefully into the reversal and accelerate back out. Everything runs locally in your browser using WebCodecs — your file is never uploaded to a server, so it stays private and conversion starts instantly. Need more than one operation? Use the "Continue this clip in" links in the workspace — your edits carry over to crop, trim, resize and compress without re-uploading the file.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Ease slider do?
It slows the clip into each turnaround and speeds it back up afterwards, so the direction change looks fluid instead of snapping. 0 is a hard ping-pong; 1 is the softest turnaround.
Does the boomerang keep the audio?
No — the backward half cannot play meaningful audio, so the output is exported silent.
How do I get a looping GIF instead of an MP4?
Use "Or convert to GIF" under the Create button — GIFs loop by default, which suits a boomerang perfectly.
